The Potato Festival is held annually in Wayland, New York approximately 45 miles south of Rochester  and we celebrate the history of potato farming in our region. This year marks the 29th  continuous year of the Wayland Potato Festival.  The Wayland Fire & Ambulance Department took over managing the festival five years ago.  The Wayland Rotary Club were the faithful volunteers who organized the festival prior to that.

 

Every year seems to get better and better.  Even with the economy the way it is, there were as many vendors as the year before, approx. 75.  We had thousands of visitors and many new activities. This year, we hope to far exceed those numbers and are working hard to increase the number of activities and entertainment so that all family members can enjoy and be part of  the Wayland Potato Festival.
